DAILY SAFETY INSPECTION

Identifying Workplace Hazards

EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT (exits, fire extinguishers, eyewash station, first-aid kits, etc.):


Are all emergency equipment unlocked and free from obstruction?
Are all emergency equipment clearly marked, properly mounted and accessible?
Are Safety Rules, Emergency Action Plan and Evacuation Route posters posted?
Are emergency exits clear from obstructions?
Are eyewash stations free from obstructions & good operating condition?

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:


Are employees trained in the use of personal protective equipment?
Are employees using all appropriate PPE (glasses, gloves, shoes, hardhats, etc.)?
Is PPE made available for employees changing out liquid propane gas (LPG) cylinders/ battery charging station areas?

POWERED INDUSTRIAL VEHICLES (forklifts):


Are only authorized personnel operating equipment?
Are vehicles in good operating conditions and daily inspections completed?
Are all operators using Safety equipment while operating (Seat belt, Vest, Harness)?
Are operator rules obeyed (Speed, honking at Intersection, driving in reverse, when vision is obstructed, etc.)?

WORK AREA/WAREHOUSE:


Are all work areas adequately lighted?
Are all employees using proper lifting techniques?
Are aisle kept clear of product, broken pallets, vertical pallets, and trip hazards?
Are floors free from debris, Spill or any food products?
Are electrical cords in good condition and out of the way?
Is material stacked properly and wrapped in storage racks and tiers?
Are hazardous and flammable materials stored properly?
When shrink wrapping pallets, are employees wrapping forward to lessen the risk of tripping?
Are loading dock areas free from obstruction and loading/unloading evolutions being conducted in a safe manner?
Are all the pest control traps properly functioning?

GMP & ADDITIONAL REQUEST


Are all employees using approved tools and processes for production? ( NO wood, or items).
Are all the employees following the food and drink policy in the workplace
Are all employees following GMP. (Nail polish, Hats, Jewelery, Eyelashes, use of hairnets),
Is the Break room cleared and maintain clean?
Are all door maintained closed during work hours?
Are employee restrooms clean, stocked with soap, disposable towels including dry floors?
Are the floors in the cooking department properly rinsed down and kept clean?
